9.30 Departure from Oulu
Meeting place: in front of Oulu City Hall, Address Kirkkokatu 2a.

10.45 Reindeer farm visit (1,5 h)
Step into the world of Arctic tranquility as you visit a traditional reindeer farm. Pet these graceful animals, capture memories with them, and immerse yourself in their way of life. Inside a cozy kota (Lappish teepee-shaped hut), listen to captivating tales about reindeer herding while sipping a hot drink and savoring a sweet bun.

12.30 Guided tour in the Snowexperience365 in Kemi including a cocktail in the ice bar (1 h)

13.45 three-course lunch at Sataman Krouwi, maritime-inspired restaurant nestled in the inner harbor of Kemi

14.30 Sailing excursion by sailing boat Perämeren Jähti (3 hrs)

Embark on a captivating sailing journey aboard the Perämeren Jähti sailing ship. We’ll navigate to the estuary of the Kemijoki River, where we’ll uncover the history of ancient fisherman’s courtyards and an old log-floating route. Our exploration continues to the historic Laitakari sawmill island, where you’ll delve into its rich history from its inception in 1861 to its vibrant heyday and eventual decline in the 1960s. We’ll relish in the island’s stories over coffee, truly immersing ourselves in its past.

The Perämeren Jähti sailing ship, a testament to 19th-century shipbuilding, was meticulously constructed between 2005 and 2007 in Kemi. Fusing historical craftsmanship with modern technology, the ship ensures a safe and engaging maritime experience. With a length of 22 meters, a width of 5.3 meters, and a cruising speed of 6-7 knots courtesy of a 250 horsepower engine, the ship boasts a unique blend of tradition and innovation.

Terms and Cancellation

Saaga Travel Ltd. is the responsible tour operator of the trip.

You register for the trip by paying the participation fee at Saaga Travel Webshop.

Deadline for registrations is April 28, 2024.

Minimum number of participants and Saaga Travel’s right to cancel the trip

The realization of the trip requires a minimum number of 20 full-paying participants. If the minimum number of participants is not met by the registration deadline, Saaga Travel has the right to cancel the trip. In this case, we will notify you immediately of the cancellation by email and we will refund the payment in full.

If the minimum number of participants has been met and the trip takes place, we may continue the sale of the trip also after the registration deadline.

The customer’s right to cancel a trip they have already purchased

The passenger has the right to cancel the trip at any time before the start of the trip. In this case, a cancellation fee will be charged as follows:

a) Office costs € 30 when the trip is canceled no later than 30 days before the start of the trip

b) 50% of the price of the trip if the trip is canceled later than 30 days but no later than 14 days before the start of the trip

c) 75% of the price of the trip if the trip is canceled later than 14 days but no later than 7 days before the start of the trip

d) 100% of the price of the trip if the trip is canceled later than 7 days before the start of the trip

We recommend to have a travel insurance, which covers cancellation and accidents and illnesses during the trip.

Refunds

Payment refunds are made by the payment intermediary Paytrail. The payment will be returned to the original payment method. Usually, the refund is automatic. If the refund is not successful automatically, Paytrail will contact the customer by email and inquire about the refund account.

Disclosure of information

By booking a trip through us, the customer accepts the transfer of their necessary booking information to other service providers involved in the implementation of the trip. The information is not used for any other purpose.
