10.00 Departure from Oulu
Meeting place: in front of Oulu City Hall, Address Kirkkokatu 2a.

11.00 Guided walking tour in Old Raahe (1,5 hrs)

The Old Town of Raahe is a charming and atmospheric area that exudes history and maritime traditions. Raahe’s history as a seafaring town dates back to the 17th century when it was a significant trading hub and port. The influences of its past are still vividly present in the Old Town, where cobblestone streets, preserved buildings, and a maritime ambiance tell the tale of bygone eras. This rich history creates a vibrant and immersive atmosphere that transports visitors to an authentic and captivating period, making the Old Town of Raahe a unique and enchanting travel destination.

The Old Raahe Walk explores the colourful history of the town, and you will hear stories of the life in Raahe in the olden times and learn about sailors and bourgeois families. The stories you hear will include enduring love, trickster pranks, and awful events that have occurred in the past.

12.30 Lunch at Trade House of Lang

Stories and experiences from the tall ships’ era! The Trade House of Lang is a café, restaurant, shop and a boutique hotel that tells you stories about the history of the Trade House in the old town Raahe by the Pekkatori square.

Our visit begins with an engaging introduction to the history of the Trade House of Lang, offering insights into its role in the bustling maritime trade of yesteryears. Following this insightful presentation, you’ll have the opportunity to savor a delectable buffet lunch. To sweeten the experience, a delightful cakes awaits as the perfect dessert. At the Lang’s the coffee is always served from small, rosy cups, of course!

Terms and Cancellation

Saaga Travel Ltd. is the responsible tour operator of the trip.

You register for the trip by paying the participation fee at Saaga Travel Webshop.

Deadline for registrations is May 5, 2024.

Minimum number of participants and Saaga Travel’s right to cancel the trip

The realization of the trip requires a minimum number of 15 full-paying participants. If the minimum number of participants is not met by the registration deadline, Saaga Travel has the right to cancel the trip. In this case, we will notify you immediately of the cancellation by email and we will refund the payment in full.

If the minimum number of participants has been met and the trip takes place, we may continue the sale of the trip also after the registration deadline.

The customer’s right to cancel a trip they have already purchased

The passenger has the right to cancel the trip at any time before the start of the trip. In this case, a cancellation fee will be charged as follows:

a) Office costs € 30 when the trip is canceled no later than 30 days before the start of the trip

b) 50% of the price of the trip if the trip is canceled later than 30 days but no later than 14 days before the start of the trip

c) 75% of the price of the trip if the trip is canceled later than 14 days but no later than 7 days before the start of the trip

d) 100% of the price of the trip if the trip is canceled later than 7 days before the start of the trip

We recommend to have a travel insurance, which covers cancellation and accidents and illnesses during the trip.

Refunds

Payment refunds are made by the payment intermediary Paytrail. The payment will be returned to the original payment method. Usually, the refund is automatic. If the refund is not successful automatically, Paytrail will contact the customer by email and inquire about the refund account.

Disclosure of information

By booking a trip through us, the customer accepts the transfer of their necessary booking information to other service providers involved in the implementation of the trip. The information is not used for any other purpose.
